Pace Your Race

My mom always used to say:

“One foot in front of the other, okay sweetie?”

“If you run ahead you’ll miss the stuff along the way.”

“You walk a mile one step at a time.” (She stole this. It’s actually an Indian Proverb.)

There was something comforting in the tone of her voice that got me every time.

She sounded like she knew what was best. And I believed her.

But actually, these trite little expressions were and still are filled with wisdom.

Because our journey forward is jam-packed with valuable lessons.

So we shouldn’t bypass the process or we'll miss them.

We should pace our race.

How do you pace your race?

I value you + your views, so let's communicate!

...and don't be shy, stop by.
